Thanksgiving is celebrated annually in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. For many, Thanksgiving is about spending time with family members and friends. The main spirit of Thanksgiving is to be thankful for the people and the things in your life. This day is typically celebrated by having a big meal with a turkey as centerpiece.
Of course there are also other ways to celebrate Thanksgiving. A funny fact is that they sometimes organize turkey trots. These are footraces held on or around Thanksgiving Day. It is derived from the use of turkey as the usual centerpiece of the Thanksgiving dinner. Sometimes participants dress-up as a turkey to add some extra spice to the event.
In whatever way you celebrate Thanksgiving or if you spend the day without organizing any kind of Thanksgiving-activities, there's always something to be thankful for. What are you thankful for?
